Kelly Angell (FKA Kelly Murtagh) is a mom, actor, singer and musician born and raised in Louisiana. She also is a writer, producer, and children's book author.
Kelly produced, co-wrote, and starred in a feature-length film "Shapeless", which had its world premiere at the 20th Annual Tribeca Festival and its international premiere at the Raindance Film Festival in London. Film Book says "comparisons to Lynch are inevitable. Truly unique. Absolutely fabulous." The film was awarded one of only six spots in the prestigious The Gotham Institute (formerly IFP) narrative lab in 2020 and is based on Kelly's personal struggle with an eating disorder set in the music scene of New Orleans. Kelly also authored the children's book "Zoo Krewe" a children's' book about New Orleans- which was illustrated by Samantha Aldana, who directed "Shapeless."

About the Film
Kelly Angell shines as both the lead actor and a writer in the compelling drama set in New Orleans, capturing the harrowing journey of Ivy, a talented singer ensnared by her eating disorder. Directed by Samantha Aldana, the film explores the dark crevices of addiction and personal struggle, showcasing Kelly's profound ability to bring complex characters to life on screen. Her collaboration with writer Parsons Twesten and co-stars Bobby Gilchrist and Jamie Neumann adds depth to this gripping narrative.
“Shapeless is, ultimately, an immersive, intoxicating experience where the sensory trumps more orthodox narrative storytelling elements, a perfect fit when it comes to the film's challenging subject matter.”
